Great Weekend Supporting our Community

This past weekend, we are again reminded how wonderful of a community Greenwood Lake is. In the midst of holiday events, traveling, dinners with family and all of the things happening in everyone’s personal lives, so many still made time to give to our community. The weekend kicked off with a food pantry fundraiser run by Bill Cerone which raised nearly $2,000 and truck loads of items for our local food pantry. A “Friend in Need” fundraiser was organized to support a great local family in their time of struggle – seeing hundreds come out to support this cause and raising thousands in the process. The weekend was capped by the East Arm Rowing Club running a fundraiser to support our local GWL Coalition Teen Center. The club, along with a generous matching grant by local resident Eric Kohlmeier, raised nearly $2,000 for our Teen Center. We live in the most generous and caring community and I am proud every day to call it home!
