From the Mayor’s Office
Village Receives Grant of $75,000!
One of the very first goals that I set when I took office as Mayor, was improving the safety of our pedestrians in the Village. We, as a Village Board, have taken several measures to secure funds to install a sidewalk on and around the bend on Waterstone road near the bridge, heading to our gazebo. We have been unsuccessful until today. Monday morning we received notice that State Senator John Bonacic has approved a grant request that we submitted in September in the amount of $75,000 to install sidewalks on Waterstone road! This sidewalk will be a big victory for our Village as residents walk around the arm of the lake daily. I want to thank Senator John Bonacic on behalf of our Village for continuing his support to Greenwood Lake’s safety, health and well-being.
