I Challenge You: Shop Locally This Christmas
All too often, growing up in Greenwood Lake, I have heard people say they needed to “go out of town” for everything they needed. Well, folks, I am here to say those days are long gone! Greenwood Lake is bustling with a reborn ability to fulfil your shopping needs this holiday season. As long as you are not in the market to buy your loved ones a new car, chances are you can find what you are looking for right in our Village. From one end of our Village to the other, we have garden centers, hardware / tool supply stores, bath and kitchens, thrift items and home-sewn gifts, high end gift stores with wall to wall collectibles and decorations, an amazing book store, gym membership, yoga, dance, health and wellness memberships, paddle boards and paddle boarding memberships, music items and music lessons at our Village’s music studio and of course, last but not least, you can always grab a gift card to one our many great restaurants that not only offer great food, some offer views that surpass those of some of the finest locations in Manhattan. So, I challenge all of the readers of this column– you want local convenience, local items and a great experience shopping in your “home town”? Support local businesses to make sure they are able to stay, thrive, and continue to make our community great.
