Dog Park Making Great Progress
Last week the GWL Bark Park made great progress with the helping hands of local volunteers. Installing the fencing and working on the park was the local Boy Scout Troop 121, their leaders and parents, Bernie Fink of True Value Hardware, Grounds Supervisor Ed Bilello and members of the Bark Park Committee. Great work done by all in making the opening of Greenwood Lake’s first Dog Park a reality.
On that note, I would like to remind residents that walking your dogs on ANY public field within the village is strictly prohibited. We have miles of walking trails in and around the Village of Greenwood Lake where dogs are welcomed. We have further addressed this issue and need by opening up a dog park. If anyone is found letting your dog run on recreation property, other than the dog park (after it is open!), you will receive a warning on first offence followed by a citation on second offense. The health and safety of our children remain a priority and we will ensure that our fields remain safe for them to use.
