HYDRANT FLUSH TODAY, May 27th (Corrected!)

May 27, 2015

Flushing Hydrants Today and Tomorrow
The Village will be flushing hydrants through the Village on Wednesday, May 27 & 28th. Please be patient throughout the process as you may experience discolored water at times. If you have any issues or questions, please contact Village Hall.

Teen Center Looking for Volunteers
The GWL Coalition Teen Center is looking for volunteers to help monitor the center on Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. If you would like to volunteer your time, please stop by the Teen Center (Elks Lodge) on Wednesday evening and let them know. Or, you may stop in the GWL Police Department 24/7 and let them know, providing your contact information for follow up.
Herbicide Application, Round 2
The herbicide that we are using to treat the weeds requires two doses to be administered. The first was put in this past Wednesday. The next will be on Wednesday June 3rd. The rain date for the administration will be Thursday June 4th. There are only 24 hour restrictions for swimming, drinking the water (not advised any time of year), and consuming fish. Do not irrigate your lawn with lake water for at least 2 weeks after the treatment if you are in any of the treatment areas (North, east and west arms of the lake). Any questions, again, please reach out to Village Hall or me directly at
