Village Receives Hydrorake Permit for North Arm

I am very pleased to announce that last week the Village of Greenwood Lake received approval from the DEC for wetlands remediation to clear channels in our North and West Arms of Greenwood Lake. We anticipate that this project — $100,000 in Grant Funds – will be done in mid- August.

In addition, I am please dot announce that the herbicides have had a tremendous impact on our lake. As one resident posted on Facebook, which has become more and more common over the past two weeks, people are finally swimming, paddle-boarding and rowing freely and safely in the calmer, weed-free waters of our no wake zones on GreenwoodLake. And in conclusion, I am happy to report that the Egrets are still happily enjoying a wonderful fishing-hole perched atop nearby docks in the East Arm.

I’ve lived in Greenwood lake for 3 yrs now and my favorite part is the firework display. Once again it was fabulous. Thank you to everyone involved.
