Village Track / Walking Path

Thanks to the generous contribution of outgoing Lion’s President, Monica Conway, through the annual Lion’s President’s Project, the Village of Greenwood Lake and Town of Warwick will have a track/ walking path around the entire soccer field that is located next to CVS. The track will begin construction this week and we expect a grand opening next week.

Hunting Season and Outdoor Recreation

As an avid bow hunter, I would like to share with the community my love for this area and the surrounding woods. We are extremely fortunate to have thousands of acres of protected and undeveloped land surrounding our magnificent Village on almost all sides. As hunting season begins, October 1st, I urge our local hunters to continue protecting our natural resources, hunt respectfully and safely, and always follow the rules.

A Coalition in our Community

I must extend my sincerest appreciation for a group of individuals who have taken the initiative to truly increase the quality of life for our youth within the community. The Greenwood Lake Coalition has been instrumental in starting a youth center in the village, hosting teen nights, raising awareness about the use of drug and alcohol amongst teens and young adults in the community and so much more. The Coalition is a selfless group of concerned parents, local leaders, members of our police force and staff from George F. Baker High School. I am extremely excited to be a part of the progress that this group makes, while partnering up with all organizations and groups within the Village, to drastically improve the lives of our youth within the greater Greenwood Lake community.

If we could add benches along the walking path, that would be great.
